Temple Israel is one of the largest Reform Jewish congregations in the United States, located in West Bloomfield, Michigan. Known for its vibrant community, Temple Israel provides spiritual, educational, and social programs for individuals and families across all ages, fostering connection and cultural engagement.

At Temple, I achieved the full scope of B2C digital marketing within the nonprofit space, from managing seamless online event registration to creating content marketing strategies that boosted engagement on our YouTube channel and across social platforms. This experience helped strengthen our digital presence and reach a broader audience, deepening community involvement and connection.

May 2023 — August 2024 | Hybrid

  • Website & CRM Management: Managed the online calendar of Temple’s programming, created and managed event pages, landing pages, and event registration forms. Ensured seamless functionality and user experience; offered ongoing suggestions to improve website aesthetics and functionality, enhancing overall user (and team) satisfaction.

  • Event Registration: Developed and deployed event registration forms using Shulcloud form builder, streamlining the registration process and optimizing attendee count for Temple programming across various departments.

  • Email Marketing: Developed and coordinated the email marketing schedule to promote all Temple activities — educational opportunities, religious school & Early Childhood Center activities, religious services, programming for all ages, etc.

  • Social Media Content Creation: Collaborated closely with graphic designers, department leads, and the executive director to produce engaging social media content, encompassing visuals and written materials.

  • Content Scheduling: Developed and coordinated the social media schedule across all platforms. Utilized CMS (Hootsuite) to schedule and manage posts across Facebook, Instagram, X, and YouTube Shorts, ensuring timely and organized content delivery. Monitored social media platforms to maintain content relevance and alignment with strategic objectives.

  • Analytics and Data Visualization*: Pulled analytics from all social media platforms, email campaigns, website engagement, and event registration activity to provide thorough reports on those metrics quarterly. Worked closely with the rest of the marketing team and the executive director to develop engaging and impactful digital marketing strategies.

  • Social Media Livestream Moderation: Managed engaging livestreams across Facebook and YouTube, leveraging comprehensive knowledge of audience engagement strategies to drive viewer retention and broaden brand visibility.
